About Us

Reviv grew out of Lehem Zeh, a community initiative founded in Yeruham in 2021 around a simple belief: food and the kitchen have a unique power to bring people together.
What began with baking, community and culture gradually led us to a larger question:
What can happen when we intentionally use the kitchen as a tool for health and social change?
From our work on the ground emerged a model connecting physical and mental health, education, community and opportunity.
Reviv was established as an independent nonprofit to develop that model and take it beyond a single kitchen.
Today, Reviv operates two Teaching Kitchens in the Negev, delivers programs for children and youth, creates supportive employment opportunities, trains professionals, and is developing a major community-health initiative with Bedouin communities.
Our Vision
We envision kitchens not only as places where food is prepared, but as powerful settings for health, learning, connection and empowerment - particularly for underserved communities in the geographic and social periphery of Israel.
Our goal is to build evidence-informed, accessible and culturally grounded models that can be integrated into schools, communities and health systems, extending the power of the kitchen across the Negev and beyond.
